Follow the Line (Autopilot)

Shruti wants to make a car that can stay on the road by itself. The car will detect the markings on the road and steer to stay over it. She wants to make a model of the same by using lines drawn on a table as road markings. Can you help Shruti in building the car that can follow those lines?

Robotics DIY kit

  1. Remove the covering of the chassis. 
  2. Connect wires to the BO motors.
  3. Attach BO motors and castor wheel to the chassis using nuts and bolts.
  4. Fix wheels to the BO motors.
  5. Connect the BO motors to Motor driver IC.
  6. Connect the Motor driver IC to the Arduino using jumper wires.
  7. Connect the Motor driver IC to the battery holder such that the wires from the battery holder come out of the holes of the second chassis. 
  8. Attach the second chassis using chassis connectors.
  9. Connect the IR sensors to the Arduino using jumper wires and breadboard.
  10. Fix the IR sensors to the chassis as shown in the video.
  11. Upload the code and test.
